Last night I had my first practice with the praise team at church because Anthony, the worship leader, asked Tim if I would be interested in singing with them. The praise team consists of three (now four because we got a new person last night) guitar players, piano player, and a lady who just sings. And now me. Anthony leads the songs and Sammi, the lady, sings and sometimes harmonizes and now they have me to sing the lower alto part. Except they don't have the actual music notes for most of the songs...just chords, so I have to figure it out as I go along. This Sunday is going to be a busy day for Tim so he told me after practice last night that he will probably be going to the first service and working to set things up during the other two services so he won't even be playing with us! He was my security blanket, but I guess I'll have to do it without him.
Yesterday work went a lot better than the first day. The kids had settled down a little until the afternoon when they fall apart every day. They were trying to get the district to shorten the day for these kids because they don't function well at all the last 1 - 1 1/2 hours of the day, but it didn't get approved. I am on my first break, and it's almost over so I really need to get back. This morning has been pretty easy; I've just been organizing the book room.
I'm happy it's Friday and we are going to see Big Daddy Weave tonight and I get to sleep in tomorrow!! Woo hoo!!

Ummm... what's with the title of this blog?? I'm glad things are going better with your job. How is it going this week? My week is going fine. After today I will have seen all my classes- so far, so good!!
